ALLEN was saved in an old-fashioned holiness church known as the Onward Methodist Church located just outside of Miller, MO in 1934. He soon met a Pentecostal neighbor who spoke to him about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. A short time later, Allen was baptized in the Holy Ghost.
Allen became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God; however, his theology regarding the doctrine of sanctification leaned to that of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN).
In 1955, Allen resigned as an ordained minister from the Assemblies of God.
He formed the Miracle Revival Fellowship which had a membership of more than 10,000 ministers.
Allen was noted for his dynamic preaching, the casting out of devils, and for the miraculous. His ministry is one of the most documented accounts of the great Healing Movement that swept across the nation.
Allen's ministry was mainly under large gospel tents (he had the largest tents in the world during his time. His early tent attendance exceeded 20,000. Prior to his death in June 1970, his crowds averaged 5,000.
His largest attendance was during his month-long Solemn Assembly held in Phoenix in January 1957 and 1958 where the attendance exceeded 40,000 people. These special month-long meetings consisted of fasting and prayer. It was thought that these Solemn Assemblies saved America from destruction, and in particular, from the up-coming missil crisis with Cuba.
In 1958 Allen founded a community in southeast Arizona known as Miracle Valley.
He started Miracle Valley Training Center in 1958. This was a place where people were trained for active ministry. The school developed later into what became known as Miracle Valley Bible College,

Milford Buckler prayed 15 days before he was saved. Born in Kentucky in 1897, he attended only one day in the first grade. He was unable to read, however, when the Lord called him into the ministry, God enable him to be able to read the Bible. He served as a tent evangelist throughout Ohio and Kentucky and founded several local churches as a result of his meetings. Although he had nine children, that never stopped him from serving as a traveling evangelist. He purchased two city buses and welded them together into one so he could take his family with him as well as haul his gospel tent.
In his early Christian life, the local Pentecostal church was known in the local community as the "Tongue Church" and was thought to be of the devil. Having no religious background as a child, nor any official theological training, he began praying and seeking God. During his praying, he began speaking in other tongues. This occurred more than three times in one incident.
Milford Buckler was known to have been literally a man of prayer. He prayed throughout the entire night on many occassions. He died in 1986 and is buried with his wife Ethel in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio. The result of his man's life is found in many of his heirs becoming ministers of the Gospel of Christ themselves.
